TAASA is excited to announce that the Sustaining Change 2021: Primary Prevention Institute is virtual again this year! The Institute will run from Monday, September 20, 2021 – Wednesday, September 22, 2021. The Institute offers a wide variety of trainings with the knowledge that folx in the sexual violence field often provide advocacy, counseling, and primary prevention services in the work they do, and the understanding that those working in both direct services and primary prevention can teach each other so much about addressing and ending sexual violence.
The theme this year is “Growing Through It”. The past couple of years have taken a toll on so many of us – both personally and professionally. With that said, we have seen creativity and adaptability burst and blossom out of our communities amidst the storms of chaos. It has come with growing pains, of course, but our community of Preventioneers and advocates in Texas has done incredible things to help communities emerge in strength and power. This year’s Primary Prevention Institute hopes to support that in the workshops that have been curated.
